Public Use Computers

RCPL has internet accessible computers available for patrons to use at all of our locations.  Computers are also equipped with the Microsoft Office suite.  For more information, and our computer use policy, please go to Internet Resources.  Since the computers are very popular, you may want to call ahead to schedule computer time.  For contact information for all RCPL libraries, please go to Contact RCPL.

Wireless Internet

RCPL in downtown Lumberton is equipped with wireless internet, which patrons with wireless capable laptops may take advantage of.  In order to use this service, please see the circulation desk for a login and password.  For more information, and our computer use policy, please go to Internet Resources.

DVDs and Videos

RCPL has DVD's and VHS videos available for free check out at all of our locations.  Patrons may check out up to 2 DVDs and 4 Videos per family.  The movies are due back in 3 days, and the cost is $1 a day if they are turned in late.  

RCPL has books on cassette, as well as books on CD available for free check out at all of our locations.  In addition, books on MP3 are available for free download through NC LIVE and Netlibrary.  You must sign up for a Netlibrary account from a RCPL computer initially, and afterwards you will be able to download the books from any internet connection.  For more information, please Contact RCPL.

Patrons may use their RCPL library card to check out consumer health information from the Community Health Education Center (CHEC).  CHEC is conveniently located inside Biggs Park Mall in Lumberton.  For more information, please see CHEC's website.

RCPL offers interlibrary loan services for patrons needing material that is not available within the RCPL system.  We ask that interlibrary loan requests be placed and picked up at the Lumberton location.  Ask at the circulation desk for more information.

RCPL receives books in a variety of languages from the Foreign Language Center in Fayetteville, NC.  This collection changes periodically, and is located at the Lumberton location.  Ask at the circulation desk for more information.
